Destiny and I so appreciate all your comments, especially as they are each suffused with love for our wonderful Leanne! (Glad you liked the shoes, too!!)

Once again, Margot and Destiny have created a masterpiece (or two!) of originality and Sass!
Thanks for the step-by-step tutorial and the photos.
I can only imagine how delighted Leanne must have been! Lucky lady!

Wow, look at all these great comments! Leanne is DEFINITELY well loved! Sorry I'm so late to say thank you for all the wonderful words. THANK YOU!

I just got to see this because I have been camping - without highly embellished dancing shoes....but so great to hear the story and learn about the love-infused character shoes - given and received in the spirit of love and dancing spirits. Glad to have been a witness and to have met all the OTHER highly-significant others.

What a wonderful gift to give to a fabulous woman who was even more so in her mermaid dress and dancing shoes (with a major amount of sass).
It was a beautiful event and great to see you Margo and meet Erin.

Loved the challenge of getting the colors and glitter to go with the dress, plus figuring out how to solve the removeable-spangles problem! The perfect combination of art and artisan elements!

Oh, I love that concept -- the shoes dancing by themselves!

I love this write-up! Hearing more about the process of making my shoes increases the alread over-the-top love I have for them! It was a very special treatl to have my shoes so gorgeously (that is a word? or should be) matching my fancy dress. The shoes complimented the dress beautifully and I love the creative touch that I can take the fabric lined with sequin pieces off to go with other outfits. I got lots of compliments on them.

Thank you so much, Margot and Destiny!! For your creativity, your talent--and your sweet hearts that put all of that together in delightful ways for all of us to learn from! It was a very thoughtful gift.

Hugs to both of you! Leanne

I'm sure it was a REALLY big smile for such lovely dancing shoes. It's like the shoes could dance by themselves.

Thank you! Though, really, seeing the big smile on her face was all the thanks we could wish!

Great job, ladies! Leanne was happy and beautiful!

Destiny Carter (top) and Margot Silk Forrest are the mad scientists and creative geniuses behind Sassy Feet, the DIY craft site about transforming ordinary shoes and bags into wearable art. For their story, click here.
As you might know, we invented a glitter glaze that works on leather, manmade leather and fabric. It comes with a bottle of paint base and a little packet of glitter. Now, someone has to open the big jars of glitter that come from the glitter elves and spoon just the right amount of each of the 21 colors into their packets. Being the head honcho, Margot is that someone. Problem is, she's not the tidiest person in the Western hemisphere and after 20 or so packets, there are a lot of microscopic (but fetchingly sparkly) particles of glitter in her hair, on her cheeks, and decorating her nose. One day someone came in during this process and remarked, "This place looks like a glitter sweatshop!"
